He lives who lets others live
The one who forfeits his life to bring about some benefit for others is constantly recollected. Though he passes on untimely, he touches the heart of others by his activities and earns an everlasting fame.
All religious teachers enjoin the practice of this virtue. The blessed individuals set out their lives to help mankind at last. Because of this quality we can easily recall the name of Mother Teresa , swami Vivekananda and other saints. All the great man in this vast world think only for the welfare of the society not for themselves. They inspire the confidence in the mind of the common people .They are thinking that serving for the man is mainly serve for the Almighty.
We should be tolerant enough towards the other people’s opinion so that others also remain tolerant towards us. Live peacefully is an art as well as not to make any attempt to disturb other’s peacefulness. Sir Philip Sydney, being mortally wounded in the battlefield of Zutphen , wanted a glass of water to allay his thirst . Another soldier looked wishfully at the glass of water. Sir Philip Sydney handed over the glass to him and thus let him live at the cost of his own life.
“Only a life lived in service to others is worth living.”
